I’m Polina — a family and lifestyle photographer based in Bern, working across Switzerland and worldwide.

Photography for me is more than just a profession. It’s a way of seeing and feeling the world, and noticing the things that truly matter.

Over the years, I’ve realised that the most valuable photographs are rarely perfect in the usual sense of the word. Yet they are the ones we return to again and again.

Sometimes a single photograph is enough to bring back an entire moment in life: the air, the light, familiar smells, the feeling of someone beside you.

I still look at photographs from my childhood and instantly find myself back somewhere by the Gulf of Finland, on the shores of Ladoga, or in snowy Karelia with my parents. Without those photographs, so many moments would simply disappear with time.

Maybe that’s why I’ve never cared much about perfect posing. What matters more to me are feelings, connection, and real life inside the frame.

We are all different — and that’s why every session has its own mood: quiet and gentle, playful and loud, full of movement or sometimes very calm.

Most people feel nervous before a photoshoot.Parents worry about their children. 

Partners worry about each other. And honestly, that’s completely normal.

It’s important for me to feel people’s rhythm and mood, and create an atmosphere where you can slowly forget about the camera and simply be yourself.Sometimes I barely interfere and just observe.

Sometimes I gently guide you, so the whole process feels easy and comfortable.

The final result depends a lot on preparation.

I always help with everything before the session — from choosing outfits to finding the right location and atmosphere for your photographs.

During my sessions, you can relax, spend time with the people you love and, most importantly, be yourself.
