Let’s Get to Know Each Other!

Welcome! My name is Polina, and I’m a family photographer.

Photography is more than just a profession for me; it’s a way to see and feel the world, to express what truly matters. And for me, nothing is more important than love and family.

I’ve been photographing for over eight years, and during this time, I’ve learned that the most valuable thing in a photograph isn’t its perfection, but the emotions it evokes.

My family is my foundation and my inspiration. Becoming a mother made me feel more keenly how quickly time flies. Children change every day — a little, almost imperceptibly. But when you open the album a year, two, or ten years later, you suddenly realize how much has changed, and how priceless everything you’ve managed to preserve is.

Every family’s story is unique, and I strive to capture that in my photos. I approach my work with care and a deep sense of responsibility because I believe what I do is truly important.

I’m inspired by nature, light, and life itself, but most of all, I’m inspired by people. I love to observe, catch moments, and find beauty in the simplest things. That’s why, when I photograph, I feel like I’m doing something meaningful — and that makes me happy.

For me, it’s important that my photos are more than just faces; they should tell stories — warm, living, real stories. I believe that the most vibrant and sincere shots happen when people forget about the camera and simply enjoy each other’s company. These moments — seemingly ordinary but truly precious — stay with us for a lifetime.

If my perspective on photography resonates with you, and you’re looking for more than just pictures but something truly your own, let’s get to know each other. I’d love to help preserve your story.

About me. Polina Sobol photografer

A little about my journey in the world of photography…

Since 2016, I have been a member of the “Sputnik” youth photo club. In the same year, as part of a Russian-German group, I took part in an international project that resulted in three exhibitions in St. Petersburg and Cologne:

2016 — “uberkreuzt” (St. Petersburg, Cologne)
2018 — “Touchpoints” (Cologne)
2019 — “Touchpoints” (St. Petersburg)

In 2019, I also participated in the international photo festival “Fotoparad in Uglich, ” where I won first place, collaborating with the “Sputnik” photo club.
That same year, I began working on a personal series, which led to my participation in the exhibition “Around and About” with a documentary project about theater backstage.

From 2019 to 2020, I studied at the “docdocdoc” documentary photography school, taking a course with Mikhail Domozhilov.
In 2020, I became the leader of the educational photo masterclass “PROprizvanie.”

Since 2024, I have been continuing my education as a student at the AMLAB photography school.

I continue to learn and search for new ways to capture people’s stories through my lens. If my style and approach resonate with you, I would be happy to meet and create photographs that will remind you of the warmest moments in your life.
